Sunny K. Park
| Chief Executive Officer In early 1983, while working as a community service volunteer, Mr. Park saw immigrants to this country struggling, in part-time jobs. He also saw a need in the janitorial service industry for dependable, hard-working cleaners. The answer was to create full-time positions and treat them as long-term employees. |
Full-time
labor would eliminate the high turn over ratio among janitorial
service personnel. Their strong work ethics and a need for
perfection would provide high quality cleaning services to
GBM's client companies. Mr. Park incorporated General Building
Maintenance - a pioneer of full-time janitorial service.
Since March 1983, GBM, along with its subsidiaries, Hepatech
Cleanroom Service, Inc. and General Building Services, has
grown under Sunny's direction to a near forty million dollar
company. GBM has been named one of the fastest growing companies
by Atlanta Business Chronicle and has become a leading contributor
of the community. Sunny is proud of the fact that GBM has
never hired a commission-based sales person and has grown
strictly through word-of-mouth advertising by our satisfied
customers.
Sunny has been a long-time volunteer in the community. Presently,
he serves as Commissioner on the Presidential Committee on
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. He is also active
member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS),
International Federation of Facility Managers (IFMA), as
well as the Building Owners and Managers Association(BOMA).
Sunny has been awarded Small Business Person of the Year
by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Outstanding Citizen Award
by the State of Georgia, and has received National Merit
of People for Community Service from the President of Korea.
